SPOILER ALERT
I'm a fan of Potter books, not movies. It's a given that when you make films based on books, you're going to miss out on a lot of details, and that's what's been happening for all Potter movies. But this time around, it's way too much!! Did I fall asleep during the movie or did they never talk about Dumbledore's dead hand? The movie didn't explain horcruxes in a way that non-readers would understand, nor did they show Snape trying to get Potter's Potions book after he uses Sectumsempra on Malfoy. It also never showed Dumbledore immobilizing Potter, who was wearing his Cloak of Invisibility in the book. What happened to Dumbledore's memories about Tom Riddle, especially the one that leads them to the cave?
All the important parts of the book related to Tonks, Lupin, Snape, Dumbledore, Malfoy, and Mudungus Fletcher are left out of the movie. Finally, Ginny-Harry and Hermione-Ron romances are changed significantly and played down. A few other things have also been changed and added, like destrution of the Burrow by the Deatheaters has been added, as was the scene where Snape asks Potter to remain silent before he "kills" Dumbledore.
In conclusion, the movie is not really worth watching. It doesn't show anything that Rowling doesn't already explain in detail in the book. For me, when I read the book, I can "see" more things than when I watch the movie. If you want to watch something just for entertainment, go watch Bruno!
